Berks County Sheriffs Department  gives back to PA K9 Assistance Foundation!!

PA K9 Assistance Foundation to receive two ballistic K9 vest from the Berks County Sheriffs Department for reissuance to K9 teams in PA.

Berks County, PA, January 13, 2011, Berks County Sheriffs Department will be donating two ballistic K9 vests to PA K9 Assistance Foundation that will be reissued to other law enforcement K9 teams in Pennsylvania.  These vests will be presented to PA K9 Assistance Foundation at approximately 1:00 pm January 13, 2011 at the Berks County Courthouse 633 Court Street, 3rd Floor, Reading, PA 19601.  Attending will be: Berks County Sheriff-Eric J. Weaknecht, Berks County K9 Unit, and members of the PA K9 Assistance Foundation.        

The Pa K9 Assistance Foundation provides under funded law enforcement K9 teams with safety and training equipment that they desperately need to aid them in the performance of their duties of keeping our Police Officers and community’s safe.   Although the PA K9 Assistance Foundation will to provide any type of equipment, we focus on the most important pieces of equipment: vehicle temperature sensors and ballistic vests.   Our mission is accomplished by obtaining financial grants and donations and also by obtaining used serviceable equipment to re-issue such as in this circumstance.

The PA K9 Assistance Foundation is approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and donations are tax deductible.  To learn how you can help make a difference and more information, please explore our website.

Visit us at Peddler's Village - we will be outside Skip's Candy Corner during the Sidewalk Sale.

Two Bucks County Police Departments will receive donations of ballistic vests for their K9 Officers.  K9 Teams from Quakertown Borough and Warminster Township will receive the ballistic and stab resistant vests as the result of a sales campaign by the owners of Skip's Candy Corner, shop #27, in Peddlers Village, Lahaska PA.
